What is COSMIC ?
2
A structural biology platform for the life sciences borne out of the need for computing.
Launched in summer 2020, COSMIC2 was built for analyzing structural biology data to help structural biologists get access to supercomputers. The project has been lead by Prof. Michael Cianfrocco (University of Michigan). These original workflows focused on image analysis for cryo-EM structures.

Fast forward to Fall 2022; AlphaFold2 source code is released. COSMIC2 pivots to offer structure prediction tools, which now include AlphaFold2, AlphaFold Multimer, and ColabFold.

As the project has grown, we have built COSMIC2 to serve as a clearinghouse for structural biology tools for users of all backgrounds. Upload your data using your web browser and run your jobs on NSF supercomputers! It's that easy : )
